TeeChart Pro for XE2 pre-release binary installer

Greetings!

A Pre-release binary installer has been posted at the client download area adding full RAD Studio, Delphi and C++ Builder XE2 support.

We expect more fixes and changes will be applied over the next few days but this gives you the opportunity to start working with it.

Please post any issue you may find with the version at the TeeChart VCL or TeeChart for Firemonkey forums.

I've installed the binary release.
It appeared to compile ok, but when starting the ide I get the following error:

'Can't load package C:\Program Files (x86)\Steema Software\TeeChart 2011 for RAD XE2\Delphi16.win32\Bin\DclTeePro916.bpl.
Cannot load package 'Tee916.' It contains unit 'VCLTee.TeeGDIPlus', which is also contained in package 'Tee9160'.
Do you want to attempt to load this package the next time a project is loaded?'

and the following

'Can't load package C:\Program Files (x86)\Steema Software\TeeChart 2011 for RAD XE2\Delphi16.win32\Bin\DclTree2D16Tee9.bpl.
Cannot load package 'Tee916.' It contains unit 'VCLTee.TeeGDIPlus', which is also contained in package 'Tee9160'.

The FireMonkey appears to install without problem, although I've not tested them yet.

Any idea?

I've just installed RAD Studio Update #2 and that has stopped dclFMXTee916.bpl from loading. It requires recompiling with version 16.1.

You are right. Then, this PreRelease requires Update1 installed (and not update 2).
We'll publish a version for Update2 asap.

Just a point, my original problem occured with only Update #1 installed.

The second problem ( dclfmxtee916.bpl) occured when I installed Update #2

Excuse me, I haven't seen your first message.
The error message

Cannot load package 'Tee*.' It contains unit '**', which is also contained in package 'Tee*0'

usually indicates that the TeeChart Standard version that comes with the IDE hasn't been correctly uninstalled, so two TeeChart packages are trying to be loaded by the IDE. This is easily fixed by unselecting the TeeChart Standard package shipped with the IDE from the packages list, and selecting the TeeChart Pro package just installed.

I thought I had done that, but maybe not. Of course, I can't test it yet because it's now giving me this message:

I'll need to wait for your installer that's capatible with Update #2.

I've downloaded the latest version (for Update #2).
I unstalled the previous version, deleted the directory, made sure that the Standard version was removed from the IDE and installed the new version.

The FireMonkey elements installed without a problem. Trying to enable the VCL elements results the in following message:

My version is the same as yours 16.0.4.44803.

I've checked the files in the ..\Delphi16.win32\Bin directory
and they are all dated 02/11/2011.

I've also checked 'Install Packages' dialog and the paths are:
TeeChart Pro 2011 VCL Components - ...\Steema Software\TeeChart 2011 for RAD EX2\Delphi16.win32\Bin\DclTeePro916.bpl

TrrTree 2 Components - ...\Steema Software\TeeChart 2011 for RAD EX2\Delphi16.win32\Bin\DclTree2D16Tee9.bpl

I'm a bit confused as to why they don't load.

Hello,

This binary installer has worked fine in two machines here. A Windows 7 64bits and a Windows 7 32bits.
The only thing we can think on is the possibility that you have 3rd party components installed that are using the TeeChart Standard shipped with the IDE, and that's confusing the IDE. If you have any 3rd party component installed, could you please try disabling them in the packages list?

Update #2 appears to reinstall the IDE version of FastReport (I've have the PRO version), I not sure if that was causing problems but I uninstalled it anyway
I also uninstalled and re-installed TeeChartPro.
The IDE was also loading c:\windows\system32\frxTee16.bpl - which I assume is something to do with Fast Report, I disabled that and the problem
was solved - FastReport does not seem to be affected and TeeChart PRO is installed!
