The problem is reproducible with this code:

    NumericGauge series;

    private void InitializeChart()
    {
      series = new Steema.TeeChart.Styles.NumericGauge(tChart1.Chart);
      series.FillSampleValues();
    }

    private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
      series.Visible = false;
    }
