Having some Line or Area series, if you activate the Smoothed property:
- The smoothed series created internally are also visible in the editor.
- The legend symbol is lost.

  tChart1.getAspect().setView3D(false);
  for (int i=0; i<2; i++) {
    Area area = new Area(tChart1.getChart());
    area.fillSampleValues();
    area.setSmoothed(true);
  }

By design ... The smoothing is a function Series. Latest update will include inline Smoothing for Line and Area Series, modifying the Series itself directly.
