It would be great if the ChartEditor was able to maintain its state. For example, i created 2 series. Thereafter I go to series->select first series and click at tab 'Mark'. After I selected second series and clicked at tab 'Data source' and closed ChartEditor. It will be great if I see settings for the second series with 'Data source' tab opened after reopening ChartEditor. And it will be even better to see 'Marks' tab selected after the first series in tree were selected. Thanks

Note the editor is designed to help the developers to create their charts writing as much code as possible for them. It is not recommended to give the end-user access to it.

From the developer point of view, one shouldn't expect to be visiting the same options many times in the chart design phase.
