Exporting unicode strings to pdf doesn't work fine, it shows strange characters.
Exporting to jpeg works fine.

The solution is not trivial.

PDF does not support unicode or utf strings "just ready".
A Unicode Font file must be completely  embedded inside the PDF document, and then the string can be rendered using that font.

(The unicode font will also add up to 100KB to the document)
