In v8, the bsRectGradient TBarStyle drawed the front with gradient and the sides without gradient and darker deppending on Dark3D/DarkSides property.
In v2011, the bsRectGradient TBarStyle draws both the front and the sides with gradient and the Dark3D/DarkSides property does nothing.
There is a customer who wants the v8 behaviour to be preserved.
- There could be a boolean property (ie GradientSides) to control if the sides should be drawn with gradient or not. Of course this has only sense when BarStyle=bsRectGradient
- The Dark3D/DarkSides property could darken the colors of the sides when BarStyle=bsRectGradient
- I think it would look more homogeneous if the top side wasn't gradient. It could use the top color of the gradient in the front side, darkened or not depending on the Dark3D property.
The same behaviour is appreciable in .NET
