To reproduce it just set legend alignment to bottom and increase the legend font size, and assign series names like "series g". the "g" is truncated.
It seems to be related to vertical alignment.
Workaround is to change the legend rect by using the OnGetLegendRect event.

Fixed. Will be included into the next maintenance release v4.2021.2.18
