With DateTimeFormat set to empty, then it automatically adjusts the labels from date to time when zoomed in or when the chart time range changes. Thats pretty cool! If the time range is within one day the axis labels are showing time. Nice!
But if series.pointer is visible and pointer.vertsize is so high that points are overlapping each other (or the chart is resized verry smal) then the axis labels are showing the dates. Thats a pity.

I haven't been able to reproduce this. Perhaps if you could include sample code or project.
