See the project attached. It includes exes with the projet compiled for v2015.15 and v2015.16 to see the different results.

With v2015.15:
- SeriesCount is 1
- In the editor you see ones series visible

With v2015.16:
- SeriesCount is 2
- In the editor you see ones series invisible

We consider this not being a bug. 

A major redesign of TeeDBCrossTab unit was made last summer, which included this modification in build 2015.16.

Changes made to CrossTab source use new Series.Detail property (more info at https://www.steema.com/?/linkIn/WhatsNewVCL). Therefore we have a main series with child series being the Detail property and the result of CrossTab work. Main series is set to be inactive as not to be rendered. Detail series (only one in this particular case) are being rendered. 

Prior to that change, new series at chart level were being created. Casually, in this specific test, only one series was necessary. That's why TChart.SeriesCount now returns 2 instead of 1.

I don't care about the returned Series "count". What bothers me is that there is always a "Series1" being displayed in my chart legend. Initially, it is displayed as inactive. If the user click in the checkbox and activate it, it mess up with the X axis marks, displaying wrong texts! I consider this a (serious) bug.
